Before submitting an issue please make sure you have and provide the following information:

Operating System (Windows 7, Windows 7, Mac OSx, Linux, etc.).

Type of computer (laptop or desktop) in case it matters.

What login are you using (Google or PTC).

Options you can control in the DesktopMap on the Startup window: Saved login information for PTC. Google Map key (API). This gets saved after you enter it in the first time. Config Options (two open text fields). This is the starting Latitude and Longitude of the marker when you start the DesktopMap. You can go to http://maps.google.com and put a marker on the map in the middle of any intersection and it will show the coordinates near the bottom of the screen. Type those into the Config Options boxes. Or, you can type in an address and click on the Locate button to auto populate the lat/long boxes. Scanning Options. This shows how wide to make your search. 7 is good and it is about 1 mile across.
