What should the time and format of the meetings be?

Hi all! Thanks for your interest in the MSCC! I'd like to discuss scheduling a meeting, which I'm thinking will be very informal.

If you are new to coding, please come and learn! If you are an experience coder, please come and help teach!

Two key questions:

1. What day of the week and time should we meet? My idea was to have one relatively early in the day and one relatively late in the day to accommodate a wide range of time zones.

2. What format should we use? Zoom is maybe most familiar, but I'm open to other suggestions. Maybe Discord or something is worth exploring.

For me being in Europe, it would be great if you have two sessions schedule so that I can also arrange my time to follow! For the format, I am familiar with both Zoom and Discord platforms and this won't be a problem

I think a discord server would be a good format - it would allow for much easier discussion between meetings!

I think early in the day and late in the afternoon makes sense especially to cater to
People in different time zones. Discord is nice because it allows for video chat and has chat options similar to slack so we could filter questions by topic.

Will it be possible to have at least one session during the weekend?

Asynchronous options should be there. Video recording of sessions and maybe a discord where people can discuss past lessons would be nice.
