This is not exactly what you asked for but version 1.0.21 adds support for position stack (history). This allows you to quickly return back to the place where you jumped from. The history controls (arrows) are dismissed with a long tap. |
Where does one find the position stack? Maybe it's a release thing (I installed from harbour) but there doesn't seem to be any history at all? EDIT: I'm still on 4.5 and on a community port, if that is of any consequence. |
This arrow button appears at the bottom of the screen after you follow an internal link (by long-tapping it): Then you can follow another link, and another one - that way you end up with a position stack which you can navigate go back and forth: Long-tapping either of those arrow buttons clears the position stack and removes the buttons from the screen. That's how it's supposed to work. |
Ok, there are no links in this ebook (it's from gutenberg https://gutenberg.org/ebooks/72890.epub3.images ). So, that feature has nothing to do with location in a text. Is there such a feature? I'll try some books with links in them. |
Not that it doesn't have anything to do with the location... but it's restricted to the locations pointed to by the internal links. Sometimes epubs have a contents page in the beginning with the links to the chapters, sometimes not. That's why I said that it's not exactly what was asked for (and I would like to have too). |
Could you add bookmark and go to page? Moving in a large book (5000+ pages) is not handy using the slider.
