Fdroid support or build instructions? #31
Comments
Hi Izaic, good to find someone with interest in fdroid and/or building yourself! You can find an fdroid version based on my github repo (https://github.com/mathfactory/mooltifill-android): https://f-droid.org/packages/de.mathfactory.mooltifill/ (Note this is not strictly in sync with the repo here, e.g. I still need to merge the latest PRs...) If you want to build yourself, it should be relatively straight-forward with Android Studio and importing/cloning the github project. Android Studio is available here: https://developer.android.com/studio/ @limpkin Should we e.g. create a Wiki page for hints about building and/or the fdroid package? |
@mathfactory absolutely :) |
This is confusing! :D I was checking whether mooltifill had been packaged for f-droid. I found
If this is the upstream, can't we publish this one to f-droid such that we can more easily get newer versions to f-droid as they come? :) |
@limpkin do you have any plans or wishes for regarding this? I can try submitting another version of mooltifill to fdroid using this repo as a base, though I've never done that before. And, then we'd have two versions of mooltifill on fdroid. I'm asking since I checked whether mooltifill now supports setting the clock on the minible, and I saw that #39 had been merged and that it had been merged many months ago, but that the fdroid version doesn't have the fix because that comes from @mathfactory's repo, which is lagging behind. Which repo is the "official" repo? |
this repo is the official one, though @mathfactory created mooltifill :) |
Alright! :) @mathfactory what do you think about letting the f-droid package point to this repo instead? |
Not really sure how to build this app, and I can't find it on fdroid... I'd rather avoid google play apps...
