In addition to #6 I own a project, that implements .NET like attributes for Python, so you can annotate classes or methods. It's called pyAttributes.

This comes with an easy declarative way to describe big ArgParse setups or to annotate which members shall be auto-documented by Sphinx.

If you like it. We can discuss how to move it into your repo too.
