V2.1 vs V2 #10

Honestly, I really don't recall since it was 5 years ago. The notes on
that v2.1 update indicate there was a minor update to correct something.
The parts used should be the same. Generally, the highest version should
be used.

No. With the voltage and level shifting requirements that are
significantly different, the two board designs are not compatible for those
two chips.
