Thank you for developing and maintaining this very useful plugin and sharing it with the Moodle community.

Would it be possible for you to add some of the core profile fields to your plugin?

The ones that I would find useful include:

  • Email - this would allow me to automatically enrol users with a specific email domain like company or school email addresses into specific courses. I may use this to auto-enrol users with a specific email address into a course upon registration of their account on the site. This would allow me to specify those email addresses even if they don't have an account yet.
  • Language - this would allow me to limit access to courses depending on the user's preferred language so they don't accidentally enroll in a course in a language they do not understand.
  • City/Town - I have in-person courses that are run regularly in different cities. I want people to enroll in the course run in their local city.
  • Country - If I have different versions of a course containing localized information - like a Law course which is different depending on the country you are in.
  • Timezone - Useful if I want to run a live course in different time zones.
  • Authentication method

The first 2 are most important to me. The others would be nice to have.

Best regards,

Michael Milette
