Grey on white is hard to read for many people. The phenomenon is well documented.

Is it "Contrast loss" issue which can be simulated with Firefox Accessibility tools?

I am sorry, but I cannot remember how the problem manifested itself within the app; it has been a while since I used the app. I should have given a screenshot.
