Geometry from layers without entries is changed? during migration

When migrating empty layers the geometry is changed to GEOMETRY instead of LINESTRING. This blocks the creation of features after migration. This only happens when the layer has no entries before the migration. See the example below:

I tried to reproduce this issue with the following steps:

• download and install https://docs.3di.live/threeditoolbox-dev/threedi_results_analysis-leendert-test-threedi-schema-224.zip
• build new schematisation editor and install (threedi_schematisation_editor.1.99.7.zip)
• load empty sqlite (empty.sqlite.zip)

This gives me:
