In discussion with openneuro and CEDAR folks ATM, question keeps coming up on either NeuroBagel could do "prospective" annotation as e.g. planing for a study and then find fields and desired controlled vocabulary for values to be used to annotate those participants.
If that is possible somehow, would be great to see that mentioned in the documentation

NeuroBagel could do "prospective" annotation as e.g. planing for a study and then find fields and desired controlled vocabulary for values to be used to annotate those participants.
I'm not sure I understand correctly. Do you mean that Neurobagel could help someone decide on how to name variables and values during data collection so the harmonization would be easier later on? Or is this more about annotating a data schema that we will collect data under in the future?
ATM it requires the names for collums and values within columns already to be known. Based on prior experience neurobagel could indeed provide choices for columns and choices for values to be added based on available controlled vocabs. Overall, the idea came up while chatting with @ckindermann from CEDAR group (https://github.com/metadatacenter) where it is on that other end of spectrum of prospectively creating data schema for data entry.
