Could this also work with Firefox keyword searches? Like http://www.example.com/%s with the keyword of ex in Firefox, then in Alfred I could type ff ex test to go to http://www.example.com/test.

Well, it possibly could (because it's all in the bookmarks), but you would need to invest some extra pull-ups: look for bookmarks with keywords and expand the %s. Not so sure about instant search, though. I am not going to implement any of it in the foreseeable future because I am really busy in my job and family, but maybe someone else will do it.
