Do you have the dual bus model? These signals exist on the Chassis bus and also required for the real time blind spots. |
Yes, dual bus. Both connected.

I should have added that real time blind spot sensor data works correctly
and that the mock server will change the steering wheel color to blue.
I gave up on my Tab E and Android 7 and switched to a Tab A Lite with
Android 11, but even my Pixel 6 Pro shows the same issue.

It's definitely not a device issue but I don't have an FSD car available to
test with. The FSD status must send a different can signal for status, it
might take some time to figure out.

Nick,
No change on 10.10.2. I'll try switching the bus IDs in CanServer next.
Also, I think that Tesla uses a different algorithm for calculating range
than you do. The miles displays are identical but your percent display is
somewhat higher than Tesla's number. I wouldn't worry about it, but I
thought that you'd want to know. It might be temperature correction or a
whole host of other factors.

So Tesla introduced some sort of environment (likely temp) scaling factor
for state of charge which is calculated in the UI based on the SOC
percentage that I’m pulling unmodified from CANbus. I am not doing any kind
of calculation, and it’s likely this code is in the MCU to change the UI
rather than what the battery management system is reporting, and
unfortunately there’s no way to make it match.

Nick,
I took a look at both the Tesla dbc file and your code and I couldn't see
anything that would explain why the FSD steering wheel is gray and not blue
when FSD is engaged. I did want to note a few more things. First, when FSD
is available the app's steering wheel is correctly gray. When FSD is
engaged, the D letter in the app changes from gray to blue. The app also
recognizes when your hands are not on the car's steering wheel after about
15-20 seconds. I hope this helps.

Nick,
I forgot one other thing in my previous email. AutoPilotState is usually
tested in the app to be > 2 but the test for steering wheel animation is
=3, so it works for highways but not city streets. 🙂

Pushed out an update. Let me know if it works. |
Unfortunately, it's still not working with the most recent update. I tried
both the Tab E (Android 7) and the Tab A Lite (Android 11). Maybe it's the
animation. I'll keep looking.👁️
