Describe the bug
Some dialogs are not working on Linux. Specifically, I found the following dialogs to not work on Linux:

  • The "CHOOSE IMAGE" dialog to choose an image.
  • The dialog to change the font (stuck on "Open Sans").

There might be other dialogs that don't work that I'm not aware of.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior regarding "CHOOSE IMAGE" (1):

  1. Go to Main settings, click on +, click on show more, click on a logo. The logo view opens (without delete symbol).
  2. In the logo view, click on "CHOOSE IMAGE" ⇒ nothing happens.

Expected behavior: a dialog appears that allows choosing one of the four logos.

Steps to reproduce the behavior regarding "CHOOSE IMAGE" (2):

  1. Go to any of the four Lower Thirds. Click on the Logo. The logo view opens (with delete symbol).
  2. In the logo view, click on "CHOOSE IMAGE" ⇒ nothing happens.

Expected behavior: a dialog appears that allows choosing one of the four logos.

Steps to reproduce the behavior regarding fonts:

  1. Go to any of the four Lower Thids. Click on the + symbol to expand the Lower Third settings.
  2. On the Font, where it shows "Open Sans", click anywhere ⇒ nothing happens.

Expected behavior: a dropdown appears that allows choosing one of the installed fonts.

Hi @christianhujer,
Thanks for your detailed comment. I'm going to check it out. Apparently, the OBS Browser of the Linux version is not entirely compatible. In that case, I will have to find an alternative.

Thank you for your collaboration! ;)

FWIW, I am encountering the same. I can add that drag and drop does not work either, even though the pointer indicates a valid acceptance by way of a little green '+' symbol attached to the mouse pointer as it hovers over the logo field.

Through random clicking I did manage to get the first third to indicate that it triggered once, although nothing rendered on the screen. I have been unable to recreate the false moment of joy. I am running Ubuntu Studio 22.04, and OBS 29.0.0b3 from source.

I am seeing similar behavior in OBS 29.0.2 under Ubuntu 22.10.

When I click to "choose image", OBS itself crashes. My workaround has been to delete the files in the logos directory and replace them with new images with the same filenames.
