Roadmap + Actionable Ideas

1. Implement Main Website

2. Reach 10 athletes

Ask athletes I know of

I know a good number of longevity athletes, hopefully some of them will join if asked.

Ask peers

I should be able to ask people who worked on this project in some capacity, some friends, some bitcoiners and some ex coworkers.

Promises

  • I will join obviously
  • My brother will join
  • Dani promised
  • banan promised
  • crypto pirate promised he and his gf will join
  • jay promised
  • ask everyone i interviewed or in contact so far
  • kruw
  • Dani said "friends and family interested"
  • Nima + gf (Brazilians)

Go to longevity conference

This might be a good way to get athletes. Have to wait a bit to make sure these people have already done pheno age tests (maybe till April when I need to travel anyway due to allergy season?) and then get them enrolled. - It'd be sad if I wouldn't get 10 people by April though.
Nevermind, I'm gonna move to Vitali for 3 months and try my luck.

3. Launch website officially

Schedule: 1. Build anticipation (one month) 2. Launch (7 day content drop every day boosted by paid promotion) 3. Up customer support efforts (one month): monitor as many places as possible 3 times daily and respond)

Development

Do minor developments based on early user feedback.

Start Implementing Badges

  • First athlete registerd
  • Second athlete registered
  • Third athlete registered
  • add podcast episode link to athlete dialog (json) and a podcast icon into the row itself next to athlete's name, next to the personal link. these little links next to athlete names could serve as the badges?

Ping interested journalists

Lean into Press Coverage
Create an embargoed pressrelease and stuff.
Write a press release framing the event as the "first-ever sport where age is an advantage."
Send it to health, fitness, and sports reporters.
Emphasize human interest stories (e.g., "70-year-old reversing age to win gold")

Do Reddit AMA

  • look into how to do that, have only done reddit AMA on places I know so far.
  • announce it before?
  • try appeal to my reddit karma to not let asshole mods censor me?

Release Launch video

  • create LWC video channels. tiktok yt insta etc... (especially TT and YT cos their algo favor new vids. make sure thumbnail and other packaging are professionally optimized since the vid will likely be that good and this is the launch vid anyway)
  • Jay will release it on his YT
  • We should release it on as many places as possible

Forum announcements

  • Announce it on forums (and monitor responses regularly to provide support)
  • e.g.: Longecity https://www.longecity.org/forum/
  • kruwed thinks stacker news science section is greatly underpriced opportunity for this

Twitter Spaces

  • Socratic seminar

AI Ideas

  • AI prompt: Where can I find online people who are into longevity?
  • create a longer running tweet/posts on ruleset quotes campaign and history quotes, each with graphics (no need to make it a big deal, it's just constant high quality content about important stuff ppl following should know about)

4. Reach 100 athletes

  • Conference toilets are an underrated places to do marketing. With Wasabi it was a huge success. I think there are angles to do this with LWC as well. ("Want everyone to see your GREATNESS? Enroll the Longevity World Cup 2025") etc...
  • A/B testing "Play The Game" button text. Returning different texts and see which one people most likely to click on.
  • It might be good at this point to create a system that tracks a user's session: where the user clicks and how long it stays on one page. After this I can create statistics of where people drop out the most and I can try to work on improving them in various ways. One way would be to build a bunch of AB tests and see which design is more successful and go with that.
  • Advertise wherever I have a voice personally
    • after launch put longevityworldcup.com in all my bios
  • [Feature Request] Make Leagues Linkable #122
  • send into bitcoin subreddits and all groups I'm a part of that LWC accepts BTC donations
  • Write article: Why should I join the Longevity World Cup? (1. personal health motivation 2. advertisement 3. glory + money-prize,sponsor)
  • vid: how to join the longevity world cup video tutorial screenshare walking through the steps
  • vid: tier list of longevity athletes
  • Twitter++: At this point it might make sense to get the twitter acc verified and engage in some longevity conversations with that to make sure it's seen.

5. Donation Campaign

  • There's a good case to be made that if someone wants to maximize their bang for their buck, where bang is to maximize their contribution to achieving longevity escape velocity and buck is their money given to the cause, then the best thing they can do is to donate to LWC, because a few obsessed athletes experimenting with anything available to them to become the champion of LWC probably go a much longer way of getting us to the goal than let's say doing yet another mouse study, since the athlete's resources would directly grow, therefore their access to crazier experiments as a consequence.
  • This is also the first way of trying to monetize on the business, although much isn't expected from this, there's a nonzero chance of succeeding.
  • research gitcoin
  • So creating a proper donation campaign before sponsorship work would make sense.
  • Contribute/Donations improvements #105
  • [Communication] BTC Contribution/Donation Campaign #106

6. Implement sponsorship revenue model

Implement sponsorships

#74

Development

Do developments based on user feedback

Community Proof Verification

Make it so that the application process creates a github pr and new athletes are discussed there and this could be a way of verifying proofs with the community.

Suggest Athlete Interviews 2 Interested Parties

Reach out to journalist who has interviewed RO athletes before to suggest the media contact list on the LWC website they may be interested in that.

SEO

Basic SEO website optimization. At this point I should have already some data to make informed choices.

7. Reach 10 sponsors

  • Review my network and ask around to whom it may come handy
  • Go to BTC conference and onboard sponsors on the spot
  • Could try longevity/fitness conferences, but unlikely they have bitcoin on hand
  • Go to as many bitcoin podcast I can get my hands on to mention the sponsorship opportunity. (the bitcoin cash podcast invited me, maybe delay to this time?)
  • send into bitcoin subreddits and all groups I'm a part of that LWC implemented an efficient free market with BTC for sponsorships
  • notify people about sponsorship opportunity who specifically asked me to notify them

7+ Later

  • end of year ask (Manuel Avendano from prospera maker space) if he can create and post trophies for top 3 of LWC
  • A round of podcasting: at this point I'll have a fully functioning ecosystem and I could start try to ask people if they want me as guest in their podcasts.
  • Basic Social Media: make sure news are propagated throughout social media. If I can cover the cost of hiring the person to do this.
  • Social media bots to announce changes on the leaderboard.
  • Could dial down the marketing efforts to paid advertisement for efficiency. Solely going with this strategy could save a lot of time and let the community to grow without our direct guidance. A good way to algorithmize it could be by 1. creating a standard advertisement and testing it on different platforms: 10 most popular advertisement platforms at the time (currently FB, GGL, IG, X, Reddit, Pinterest, TT, Snapchat, Quora, Outbrain) 2. all ads would cost 100$ 3. it must be monitored how successful they are to calculate cost/value, where value could be measured by clicks on play button from each ad source. 4. This leads to the best platforms and then another round of ad test on the 10 platforms by changing different audience targeting parameters of the advertisement campaign. 5. Finally the ad creatives would go for last test round (visuals, headlines, body, CAT) and 6. a few real campaign would run until it's time for a new AD cycle (going back to step 1.)
  • There are a bunch of these end of year longevity breakthrough videos/articles. It'd be pretty cool to try to get into some of them.

Disgusting Things

I have no idea why I have a visceral reaction to the following things, but I do have one and let's try to minimize dabbling in these:

  1. One on ones
  2. Paid advertisements
  3. Affiliates
