Do you think it's possible that this project or a new plugin could track a ball in sports with a zoom adaptation (to see the players around) the algorithm should be able to track the ball according to its size on linux?

This is something I've been trying to find out about since starting to record my son's youth Football games and seeing how insane the cost is for products like Hudl. I need to find out how to do object tracking and maybe if this could be a starting point.
