Has anyone tried rendering on a mobile device? While I would assume that sphere casting is slower than a traditional rendering pipeline it seems to me that there benefits in how it scales. I deal a fair amount with user generated 3D models. Unlike, media like images or video, you can't just down res 3D models (duh).
Could a representation like this be used to ensure that content uses a predictable number of resources?
