I've been trying to get this working and just can't figure it out. The Max3232 chip is getting toasty after about 10mins. I decided to take voltage readings and got the following:
Using Brown (Pin8) as Reference I get:
Pin 1: 0mV
Pin 2: 29.2mV
Pin 3: -2.3V
Pin 4: -2.3V
Pin 5: -2.3V
Pin 6: -2.3V
Pin 7: 29.2mV
And if I use any other wire for Ref to any other wire (other than P8) I get jumping mVoltages.
I'm wondering if the pinout is the same to the RS232 -> MAX3232 chip. But thing is, this should be the same pinout as they use the same DTU adapter 🤔
I've even tried using lufton's code and doesn't work. With odya's code, I get nothing but "nan" results, and lufton's code doesn't return anything at all but empty variables.
Suggestions?
