I am exploring the integration of WebUI at my institution and have already implemented LiteLLM as a proxy. This setup provides team members with a unified, OpenAI-compatible API for frontier models like OpenAI and Claude, as well as a range of fine-tuned open-source models. LiteLLM offers extensive customization options for OpenAI APIs (see references below), which I believe can address many of the challenges that pipelines aim to solve.
Given this flexibility, is there an opportunity to consolidate around a single API rather than adopting a competing standard?
