  • We need quality facets for the new packagings data structures introduced in Structure packagings data and taxonomize packaging parts properties: shapes, materials, recycling #219
  • In particular, we need to know which products do not have complete packaging data.
  • In order to determine if the packaging data is complete, we can test the extracted packagings data structure: if all packaging components are complete (they have a number of units, a shape and a material), then we know that a contributor edited the product and added the number of units (e.g. 1 PET plastic bottle), and hopefully made sure that all components are listed.
  • In the future, we could introduce more facets (e.g. for "1 plastic bottle", it would be helpful to add the type of plastic).

Having relative tests would also be interesting in the future (a bottle needs a cap, a jar needs a lid…)

This issue has been open 90 days with no activity. Can you give it a little love by linking it to a parent issue, adding relevant labels and projets, creating a mockup if applicable, adding code pointers from https://github.com/openfoodfacts/openfoodfacts-server/blob/main/.github/labeler.yml, giving it a priority, editing the original issue to have a more comprehensive description… Thank you very much for your contribution to 🍊 Open Food Facts
