for the guides we should migrate them as setup guides in ofSite, the format there is also markdown so it should be almost a copy and paste

for the name i vote for arm linux, we would have to new downloads in the site section so i would add a new section in:

http://www.openframeworks.cc/download/

for arm linux and add 2 downloads with the architecture and in parenthesis examples of which boards are supported, i think something like:

armv6 (Raspberry Pi)
armv7 (Pandaboard, BeagleBone...)

This all sounds good to me @arturoc a good way to keep the codebase focused on architecture rather than a popular platform :)

Once we get all of the files and distcc image, etc in place, then we can update the documentation and move it to ofSite at the same time.

So take the WiKi guides and get them into the correct mark down and add
some screen captures etc? Can we fork ofSite to the
openFrameworks-raspberrypi org and work on it there then do a single PR to
the main repo?

whatever you prefer, hosting the site somewhere to check the changes might be useful to

@bakercp is this bound to make it into 0.8, or should we push back?

@bakercp - would be great to get a status update. is this going to be done for 0.8 or should we push back to 0.8.1?

this is mostly done we just need to move/create the guides in the setup guides section of the web and add the downloads in the downloads page when we do the release. might be good to test the packages being generated in the nightly builds for arm.

so, that todolist in the top post is all what you just said, basically?

i'm going to postpone the missing taks to 0.8.1. Almost everything is done except the makefiles refactoring that have been moved to 0.8.1 too and creating the distcc image which we can create later, there's also much more simplified instructions on how to create it now

I didn't delete the old wiki content but I did put a notice and link to the new guide.
