Ancillary Resources in REX

As a REX users I want to see additional resources available to me in my courses so that I can more easily reach them and use them.

The value behind this story is to make our ancillary course resources more discoverable for users and see if they become more visited/used based on their placement within the book. Ultimately, we will want to deliver a full experience with full access to materials within the reading experience, but a good first step is to make that connection evident and test results. The instructor experience would be priority over student for this experiment. Additional comments after AC.

After the implementation of the side bar navigation:

• If the RX user is an instructor then show a "Instructor Resources" link at the bottom of the sidebar that links to the appropriate instructor resource page.
• (If the RX user is a student then show a "Student Resources" link at the bottom of the sidebar that links to the appropriate student resource page.)
• Resource pages should open in new tab.
• Conversion (downloads) tracked from clicks inside REX vs. download from path on website.

Effort for just A&P vs. all? Effort just for instructor? Ideally would like to experiment with in one book for instructors.
