About the Open Call

For the Project Area 2025 Open Call we’re accepting submissions from individual artists, creators and collectives, as well as companies, studios and start-ups.

To apply, read through the submission guidelines carefully. They include a link to a form where you can submit your proposal. The deadline for submissions is Sunday 12th January 2025.

This year we are accepting submissions under the following categories:

• Quantum Computing in the Arts: We’re interested in anything that makes use of this cutting-edge technology for artistic purposes: whether it’s visuals, music, video, or something else entirely.

About Project Area

Project Area is our interactive exhibition space, open to everyone at Sónar by Day. Located at the very centre of the festival, it’s where the entire Sónar+D programme converges, with state-of-the-art technology, innovative design, radical thinking and cutting-edge research presented in bold new ways. Bringing together individual artists, creators and collectives, as well as companies, studios and start-ups, it’s where you’ll find projects, prototypes and products from around the world.
