External Data Option 4 - data source stored in memory

Hi There,

I'm reading https://www.openpolicyagent.org/docs/latest/external-data/#size-limitations-3, the document says 'The entirety of the external data source is stored in memory'. I would like to understand more about it.

Why the data can only be stored in memory?
What are the typical technology do you use to fulfill the replicator step C?
