Increase the Library's wikidata presence

The last year or so, has been pretty informative for the library and wikidata. Both Collection Services (Xiaoli / TJ) and Online strategies have collaborated in a number of projects. Some of the ones that I think were most interesting included:

• Best Practices for wikidata entry
• Davis departments / Colleges
• Davis Faculty

Xiaoli and I discussed some potential ideas for adding wikidata management to the library's plans. That may be a few years out, but I think that we could maybe start some baby step ideas.

Project / Website

I think we could start a web project with a few simple goals:

• Articulate our goals to maintain some data on wikidata
  -- Departments / Faculty

• Point to library best practices

• Templated Issues on the project for:
  -- Department and Faculty update requests
  -- Identifiers to watch
  -- Wikidata question concierge

• Develop scripts to summarize changes to UCD items

• Maybe slack bot those summaries if not too big

• Be a place for scripting updates

• Auto generate curated wikidata snapshots

Other ideas

• Expand to wikipedia as well
• Support efforts like :
  -- Women in Red
  -- Racial Bias
  -- Gender Bias
