Advantages of Janus:

• Supports Video Call, which can quickly realize one-to-one calls based on it. Dedicated signaling, simpler and easier to use.
• Supports Video Room, which can quickly open audio and video conferences based on it.
• Supports Audio Room (audiobridge), where the server mixes the audio of various clients and then forwards it, reducing client traffic and improving the experience in weak networks. It is used more in scenarios where pure voice is needed, such as colleagues applying it in game shouting, three-party voice customer service, and other fields.
• Supports recording and playback.
• Supports Android, IOS, Web, Window client reference DEMO. Web and Android clients are more commonly used during training.
• Provides signaling documentation.
• Supports plug-in development (such as Video Room, Audio Room, etc.)

Summary: Janus can provide solutions for common scenarios, and each client has reference code, which can quickly implement the demo building.

The major drawbacks of Janus:

• Native does not support cascading, the cross-border use effect is not good, and the single-machine access volume is also limited.
• Using the glib library, leading to a higher cost of learning the source code.
• Does not support Web live streaming access, many students have such application needs (web live streaming).
