bun Module not found "/app/index.ts"

I am trying to setup tooling that make use of containerisation.

Instead of

• install bun
• mkdir
• cd
• bun init

I wanna setup

• mkdir
• cd
• nerdctl run --rm -it -v $PWD:/app --name bun-app-demo -w /app -p 3000:3000 oven/bun:1.0.20 /bin/bash
• bun init

^ the later will be a makefile of similar that allows Devs to set the version of bun to use.

Now whenever I am is the shell, and I run the following, I got a module not found and after sometime it works.

root@4c58f0c36432:/app# bun index.ts
error: Module not found "/app/index.ts"

For example

$ bun index.ts
error: Module not found "/app/index.ts"
error: script "start" exited with code 1
root@4c58f0c36432:/app# bund index.ts 
bash: bund: command not found
root@4c58f0c36432:/app# bun index.ts
error: Module not found "/app/index.ts"
root@4c58f0c36432:/app# bun update
bun update v1.0.20 (09d51486)

Checked 6 installs across 7 packages (no changes) [2.18s]
root@4c58f0c36432:/app# bun update
bun update v1.0.20 (09d51486)

why does bun behaves this way, did i miss something?

p.s.: I am new to bun
