GlobalSat GPS BU-353 receiver does provide the correct year. I also have a Delorme USB GPS antenna that doesn't provide the correct year. What I finally got working is the GlobaSat BU-353 going thru Termite 3.4 (by CompuPhase) serial program that I forward to the com port that uploads to the clock. I changed the upload baud rate in the sketch to 4800 to be the same as the GPS antenna. This gets GPS to the clock and the fix dot lights. Now what I am finding is any zone that is higher and lower than 9 offset doesn't work properly. It looks like adding or subtracting the 10s place digits doesn't work for zones farther than 9 hours from UTC. The Delorme program isn't up to date for Win 10, in Device Manager - PL2303HXA PHASED OUT SINCE 2012. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR SUPPLIER. I get data to the clock so leaving it at that. I thought things were working well but later getting wrong times, reloading doesn't fix it. I realize this isn't being monitored but it may help another lost soul trying to work with this project. Minute changes 15 seconds late.
Could use instruction on how the menu works. It appears to just time out after settings to save them. Also maybe a stream coming in makes them harder to respond, not always easy to navigate.
