Save working progress

One thing a user may want to do frequently is to save the current working progress to the disk, then close the program. Next time when they come back they should be able to resume the working progress. This can be done by exporting the "view" object (and part of the "cache" object) to a JSON format file, and read it the next time. JavaScript natively supports conversion between Object and JSON.
