Documentation Website

Hey,
probably I am missing something but I am just wondering why there is no documentation website via pkgdown as you have implemented for lasR?

Dont get me wrong, there is the awesome lidRbook which is linked in the Github Readme, there are the vignettes which are linked from the CRAN package site and there is also the Help manual via r-universe. So there is plenty of documentation around, but in my opinion it would be helpful to create a package website via pkgdown and github pages as well, as this would bundle some of these recources and enhance visibility.

I have zero interest at spending hours to reproduce what already exist. The documentation is accessible via all the official CRAN system (pdf, help() function). Via all the third party websites like rdrr.io or rdocumentation.orf. There is even a book. If I create a default pkgdown it gonna be only yet another copy of the documentation. I do not have time to create a custom pkgdown website that contain additional content not in the book. If I create additional interesting content it gonna go in the book which is the main tutorial.

Totally understandible to not put any extra efford in there, just thought this might have some other historic reasons and it could be done quickly now. And I am biased as the package website is mostly the entrypoint for me to get a glimpse about a package.

And I'm biased in the exact opposite direction.

But if you want to make a PR to automatically build a pkgdown website for lidR I'll accept it.
