Testing with Sidekiq

We added some middlewares to Sidekiq that enhances the information we are logging and we'd like to write some (RSpec) tests that checks whether the logs are correct.
On https://logger.rocketjob.io/testing.html we saw that we can use SemanticLogger::Test::CaptureLogEvents to check what has been logged, but we are not sure how to tell Sidekiq to use that logger.
So we would like to have something like this:

let(:logger) { SemanticLogger::Test::CaptureLogEvents.new }

before do
  # setup/mock Sidekiq to use the logger above
  # we tried:
  # allow(SemanticLogger::Logger).to receive(:new).and_return(logger)
  # allow(SemanticLogger).to receive(:[]).and_return(logger)
  # among others but didn't succeed

  # this code doesn't necessarily need to be here
  # we can do Sidekiq.configure_server or something as well
  # but we still need to be able to get the logger instance somehow
end
it 'should log stuff' do
 Sidekiq::Testing.inline! do
    job.perform_async(*args)
 end

 expect(logger.events.last.message).to include('stuff')
 expect(logger.events.last.level).to eq(:error)
end
