While the currently proposed set of service groups seems reasonably complete, there is a noticeable absence of a sensor service group. Such a group would be valuable to many of the markets that RISC-V developers and integrators are targeting.

Are sensors subsumed by another group?
Would it help if you had some expert input in this area?

Hi Ken,

We have kept Sensor as part of RPMI v2.0 currently and its not left behind. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/12cHeL5I3CT2dVtLuChlpjGlpJHi63sZO-WyVvgjTAdA/edit#slide=id.g3085da6dc8e_0_49.

We have a new service groups proposal document for RPMI v2.0. Its not yet updated with the plan which are mentioned in the above presentation. If you want, update the Sensor service group in the below document with your requirements/expectations.

RPMI spec supports experimental service groups in case you already have a proposal for Sensor service group and implementation. This can be discussed when we commence RPMI TG meeting again for v2.0

Thanks for the prompt reply, Rahul.

I see that the target date for ratification of the current version is April 16, 2025. However, I do not see that v2 is even being tracked at this point. What is thinking about when v2 will be fozen?
