Extra characters in some number fields

Sometimes numbers contain extra characters that aren't visible in the interface, but create problems with using the data elsewhere, such as in an Excel spreadsheet. As with other character issues like #1599 or #622, it probably arises by copying text from a website or other source.

I noticed this in 100$d and 100$y in People.
