Key Mapper issue - key is not usable after setting shortcut

When using key mapper to bind a key i get the issue that the key is not usable for writing anymore.

Steps to reproduce (for me):

1. Bind S key longpress to launch spotify app
2. Try to type in input field or text editor, the S key is no longer functioning.

This seems to happen on all the launchers i have tried, so it does not look like a launcher issue.
