Media content rating systems are systems for evaluating the content and reporting the suitability of television programs and movies for children, teenagers, or adults. Many countries have their own rating system and countries' rating processes vary by local priorities. Programs are rated by the organization that manages the system, the broadcaster, or the content producers.

Key:
- White – No restrictions: Suitable for all ages / Aimed at young audiences / Exempt / Not rated / No applicable rating.
- Yellow – No restrictions: Parental guidance is suggested for designated age range.
- Purple – No restrictions: Not recommended for a younger audience but not restricted.
- Red – Restricted: Parental accompaniment required for younger audiences .
- Black – Prohibitive: Exclusively for older audience / Restricted to a specific audience / Purchase age-restricted / Banned.

The rating system used by Ryuuganime is an artificial rating that refers to Indonesia and the United States rating system with some classifications taken from South Korea rating rules.
In the current system there are six rating categories:
- G0+ : General — Suitable for all ages
- PS2+ : Preschool - Suitable for 2 years old up to 6

- Parental guidance is suggested for designated age range.

Parental Guidance — for 13 years old up to 17.
- Parental accompaniment required for younger audiences
- R18+ : Restricted — restricted for audience below 18 years old up to 20.
- GU21+ : Grown-Up — restricted for audience below 21 years old or older.
