At a recent issue comment, @Andhrabharati
summarized counts of some xml-style tags in his version of MW.

all_xmltags.txt has the tag counts for mw and other cdsl dictionaries. The section 'tags for mw' has tags for mw (cdsl).
For example, <ab> 201485 counts the number of instances including tags with attributes.

AB might be able to run this (just for mw) with his version of mw:
python xmltag.py mw_abversion.txt mw_abversion_tags.txt

We may return to this issue some time to resolve differences between cdsl and ab versions.
