Such script is done. See issues/issue17 directory..

Conversions are available to/from slp1 and either deva or roman (iast).

• k1,k2 in metaline are converted
• [Page...] is not converted
• tags <X> are not converted
• all else is converted.

skd_transcode.py script should be robust enough to handle additional tags.

Note that attribute values are NOT converted by skd_transcode.py;
for instance in <ab n="namaste">nam</ab> , nam would be converted, but not namaste.

I haven't investigated whether the same script properly handles conversion of vcp.txt.
