It is very much sensible, if one knows a little bit of Indian Mathematics and Astronomy texts.

It is the case of va/ba here. SCeD+a+vaDena.

vaDa, hata and such synonymous words mean 'to divide', in the Indian mathematical literature.

it is antar only. look at the context sense; it is talking about all the actors going behind (antar = inside) the curtains at the end of the scene.

and the SKD is clearly showing the same.

one simple clue in deciphering the doubtful points in S2S dictionaries is to look at the 3 works SKD, VCP and Apte once.
