Two open questions regarding the cdsl digitization of SHS (Sabda Sagara) dictionary
prompted by recent correction submissions (#1640).

English word spelling errors.

For example 'rincing' (should be 'rinsing'). There were numerous cases discovered.
A systematic review of English words could be made. This type of editing has been
done systematically for some dictionaries (reference?), using tools such as pyenchant.

iast spelling.

Words printed in all-caps with diacritics has been reasonably well converted to standard IAST.
However, numerous other words still remain in a pseudo-iast form, such as
Kshetriya, Sivadamara, Yogaḍāmara, Karanas, Adityas, Prākrita, Rakshasa,
A systematic review and 'correction' of such words would make the dictionary more useful.

SHS is mostly based on Wilson's dictionary (WIL). Also the Yates dictionary (YAT) is based on WIL.
So improvements in SHS might be carried over to WIL, YAT.

Of course there are numerous other potential enhancements to the digital form of these dictionaries (such as abbreviation markup, corrections to the 'E.' (Etymology) sections.

done systematically for some dictionaries (reference?)

It was done with the 1900-s German for PWG or PWK.

SHS is mostly based on Wilson's dictionary

And so remains a second-tier dictinary. Never heard of anyone using or quoting it.
