The splashcreen looks quite stretched and ugly on my screen. Since Android phones have lots of various sizes, the recommended solution appears to be to use a 9-patch image. Turns out there was actually an attempt to make Cordova center crop instead of strech by default, which appears to make lots of sense, but it caused some other issues and the change was reverted.

Note that when I last checked (Sept 2012) 9-patch images were not working with Cordova, so we werent able to get it to work even though I had made one. We'll need to confirm if this is working now.
Great! I see there have been some new Cordova releases, so we could test it when you get back from holiday then. Btw. sorry for disturbing your holiday! ;) Please feel free to leave issues until you get back, it's just nice to have them written down.
