Starting from version 0.2, opening jxl files has become long #33
Comments
Same on Haswell cpu (4670k). As in thumbnails generate more slowly with the newer versions. |
tirr-c/jxl-oxide#202 reports some perf issue too, might be related. |
I can't say I've noticed a longer opening. But the CPU is more loaded. I have a tray temp icon for my 5700x. With v0.1.19 it doesn't get hotter than 45-50 Celsius when flipping images. With the latest from main the temp reaches 65. |
That still means your CPU had to work more with newer versions, I'd say that's based on the same problem. |
Not useable anymore. JPEGView64 is much, MUCH faster! |
Maybe this is due to the lack of support for AVX2 and FMA instructions on my processor.
