Saturn 0.5.0/1.0.0 support plans

Are there any plans to update the queues logic to support the changes implemented in Saturn 0.5.0 (and now the package rename in 1.0.0)? I see upstream has dropped the next and snapshot functions, effectively breaking the exists, filter and length functions in queues.ml. I'm sure there are other issues as well, but these are the ones I am running into.

My question is because Debian ships Saturn 0.5.0, so building the liquidsoap Debian package requires using Saturn 0.5.0.

As far as I know, the staturn version has been bumped in the main branch, see #4105.

I would also like to mention the build time environment variables, which might be useful for package maintainers, since distribution users will eventually report bugs here.
