Turn normalization on/off

Hi, is it possible to chain in normalization and then manually be able to turn it on or off depending on if you want it or not? If this is not possible would it be something that could be implemented?

Do you have a specific normalization in mind, as there are more than one?
In the liquidsoap you can use:

• normalize
• replaygain
• autocue

The answer may vary depending on the type of normalization.

Won't there be a "jump" when switching from delay_line(lookahead, s) to s?

If by "jump", you mean that the gain will jump. That would not be a problem for me, since audio will be silenced while turning on or off. But a built in parameter would of corse be really nice.

Take a look at #4308. It implements a feature to disable volume adjustment for normalization.

As for the "jump", the normalize function uses delay for a lookahead amount of seconds, so switching from a normalized source to the original source will cause a temporal jump.
