Namaste. The feature of detecting the metre from just one pāda (rather than all 4) seems to be currently broken. I hope to fix it sometime, but in the meantime it works if you give it a complete śloka, for example (found this one here):

यद्भावमाप्तुं हृदि वाञ्छसि त्वम् 
शक्तो सि यद्भावयुतैर्जनैश्च | 
प्राग्वासनाभिर्निश्चितो सि याभि: 
उत्पादयते ते त्रिभिराद्यभावा: ||

(although it currently says "Bālā' rather "Upajāti, with first three lines in Indravajrā, and the last line in Upendravajrā").

If you do not have the full verse, you could also, as a workaround, give the same first line 4 times as @vvasuki suggested:

यद् भावमाप्तुं हृदि वाञ्छसि त्वं
यद् भावमाप्तुं हृदि वाञ्छसि त्वं
यद् भावमाप्तुं हृदि वाञ्छसि त्वं
यद् भावमाप्तुं हृदि वाञ्छसि त्वं
