30% GPU Load when Desktop Dimmer is on #41

Task Manager shows that when I toggle Desktop Dimmer on, GPU loads jump ~30% on my high end GPU (GTX 1080ti)

I don't see any reason for why this should be normal?

When using an alternative like CareUEyes, there is no discernible impact on GPU loads

Same here, on Windows 10.
