When I tried out the extension a month ago, I was sadly unable to use it due to it marking videos as watched, even if I only watched a few seconds of it. For some YouTube channels I get invested in and like to watch every one of their uploads, me marking them as watched manually ensures that I watched it.
• Manually click a 'Mark as Watched' button on the taskbar below the video (My primary choice)
• 'Like/Dislike a video to mark it as watched (credit to Luke Eros for the suggestion) - I really like this one as I only like or dislike a video if I've watched it to the end (or most of it).
• Set a "Watch percentage" to mark the video as watched as soon as at least [percent] of the video has been watched.
Each method could be toggled in the preferences menu.
Thank you for hearing me out! :)

I have a different need, but it fits well into the name of this issue, so I won't open another one (but feel free to separate it if you think it's conceptually different).
For videos that appear on the main page, as suggestions, I'd like a quick way to mark things there as viewed, without opening them.

I second those, right now my issue is videos being marked as watched and getting greyed out as soon I hit play.
So it's difficult for me to be sure if I watched the video all the way through or partially just by looking at the miniatures.
The only way to check is to click on the video to see if I liked or disliked it or to look in the channel/watch history and check the progress bar on the bottom of the miniatures.
