This enhancement aims to make the Virtual Debate Partner a more engaging and constructive tool. By adding a timed argument phase, personalized feedback, counter-questioning, and a scoring system, it encourages critical thinking and deepens user engagement.
💼 Current Behavior
The existing functionality of the Virtual Debate Partner allows users to select a debate topic, choose a stance (pro or con), and provide an argument. The assistant listens to the user’s response and offers a counter-argument based on the selected stance. After each round, users can decide whether to debate another topic or end the session.
🚀 Proposed Changes
The proposed changes aim to enhance the Virtual Debate Partner's interactivity and depth. A timer will be added to simulate real debate conditions, requiring users to structure their responses concisely within a set timeframe. After each argument, personalized feedback will offer constructive suggestions, while counter-questioning will prompt users to engage critically with the topic. A scoring system will track user performance, rewarding well-structured responses and engagement, and a summary feature at the end of the session will highlight key points, user arguments, and areas for improvement, creating a more immersive and reflective debate practice tool.
