Future plans for @progress/kendo-theme-nouvelle

Hi team,

I noticed that the @progress/kendo-theme-nouvelle package has been removed from the workspaces. I also encountered issues when trying to build it locally, such as variable conflicts (e.g., $wcag-min-contrast-ratio).

Could you clarify if there are plans to update and support the nouvelle theme in the future, or is it no longer recommended for use?

Hi @Degray84, 

The @progress/kendo-theme-nouvelle package was an experimental theme developed to explore new ideas and approaches. It has served its purpose as an experimental effort, and as such, we do not have plans to continue developing or maintaining it.

For this reason, it has been removed from the workspaces and will be completely deprecated in the future. We recommend using one of the officially supported themes (default, classic, bootstrap, fluent, or material) for your projects moving forward. These themes are actively maintained and aligned with our long-term vision for Kendo UI.
