429 Too Many Requests - When using Controls

When using any of the controls controls like Lock i get a 429 error. The sensors appear to work fine. I see continual polling of sensor information all returning 200s

I am unsure if my car just does not support this feature (I can lock within the official app) or if it is an API issue. I have tried awaiting the allotted time as shown in the message and run again just to get same error message

Hmm, that's odd. From the API documentation:

The limit is set to 100 request per minute for a combination of the user's Volvo ID and the Client ID sending the request.

And more importantly this for commands:

The invocation methods are more strictly limited to 10 requests per minute.

I propose to let it cool down for some time and then try again.

Is there a way I can contact you, discord or twitter perhaps? I would like to ask something about some scopes we're not allowed to use (energy:charging_current_limit and energy:target_battery_level), and if possible to get our own API credentials (since we're using one that has "leaked" on the internet - don't say that too loud 😉).

I sent them a mail mid-December, but didn't get any response. So, if you are open to it, I'd like to share the details with you and see if you get an answer. Even if they reject, I just like to know it.

I would like to emphasise that there is absolutely no pressure to accept this. I understand if you find it difficult to do this, and I don't want to take advantage of it.

I really appreciate you guys trying to work out a solution or workaround, as i am affected too but not enough a programmer to find a solution myself.
Just one question: did anyone already emailed to volvo and asked them to fix this obvious bug? :-)
Or is this pointless?

I’ve sent them a mail before with a request to allow us to use the target charge API, but they didn’t respond.

I can try to report this, but don’t get your hopes up.
