Detailed description

I tried to send a toot, but Tusky gave me a generic error message saying either the server couldn't be contacted or it rejected the post.

Screenshot_20241211-214044

When I tried to send the toot from the website, I saw a clear error message pop-up saying my server doesn't allow toots with multiple videos.

I think Tusky should be able to read the error message from the server and display that to the user.

Steps to reproduce the problem

  1. Write a toot that the user's server will reject
  2. Try to send the toot
  3. Read Tusky's error message

Debug information

Tusky 26.2

Device:

Google Pixel 6a
Android version: 14

I'm wondering how you were able to add multiple videos in the first place, because Tusky doesn't let me do that 🤔

From the media selector, I selected both videos, then I confirmed.

error messages are not localized, right? I think web client doesn't just pass them on, they probably handle it before uploading?
