1. Do I understand correctly that scans always return results in ascending order?
2. Is there a way to get them in descending order without having a separate field for a reversed index?

@imbolc Iterators returned by scan implement DoubleEndedIterator, therefore you can use the method rev to reverse an iterator’s direction.
